Hello Fish Fans, The conditions this week were more like springtime than winter and the fishin slowed down close to shore as the week progressed. Saturday was a picture perfect day, calm seas and sunny skies, a charter captains nightmare, it’s so nice you just know the fish are gonna take the day off. We started off on the 6 mile where we’ve been catchin Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Bonita and Kingfish and nobody was home. We decided to head offshore to the deep blue waters of the gulfstream like springtime or summertime fishin and it paid off. We found a weedline and caught a few Dolphin in the 8 to 10 pound range but we needed pitch rods so I took two bait rods with 12 lb. test and rigged them up and proceeded down the weedline. We came accross a pack of nice Dolphin and hooked up a pair on the 12 lb. pitch rods. The first one boated was almo/20 pounds and after about 30 minutes we boated a 38.9 lb. Bull Dolphin, that’s a hell of a fish on 12 pound test. As we get closer to the new moon which is the 18th this month the offshore fishin will be excellent. January 15th,16th and 17th is still open so if you want to catch Sailfish,Dolphin,Wahoo or Kingfish give us a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishin report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World ! Catch you later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters305-304-9049 cell 772-288-1332 home
