June, July and August is prime time for a Bahamas Fishing Adventure and we had a great time last week fishing the Abaco’s from Green Turtle Cay to Walkers Cay. Call Capt. Wayne and customize your Bahamas Fishing Adventure today 772-341-6609.
The Blue Marlin fishing is excellent this time of year in the Bahamas. We caught one off the Abaco Canyons while visiting Green Turtle Cay last week and another northeast of Grand Cay while Tuna fishing over the weekend. The Blue Marlin are chasing down Tuna’s just like we are so we always keep Marlin Lures in the spread and often times catch a Blue Marlin fishing for Yellowfin Tuna’s.
The Tuna Bite is on. We found packs of birds and tuna’s from Strangers Cay all the down to Walkers Cay. Most of the Yellowfin Tuna we’re catching are 45 to 65 pounds but 80 to 100 pounds is always a possibility. We caught more Blackfin Tuna than Yellowfin Tuna on this trip but catching 15 to 25 pound Blackfins doesn’t suck.
The reefs are teaming with fish in the Bahamas. We caught a couple of big black grouper trolling plugs along the reef line, grouper, yellowtail snapper and mutton snapper on the hook and yellow eye snapper, queen snapper and tile fish on the deep drop.
On our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters we’re catching 5 to 10 pound Blackfin Tuna, a few Dolphin and there’s been a good sailfish bite for a few days now. We’re catching fish and you can too just give us a call and we’ll hook you up. Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
