Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida slowed to a crawl for the last couple weeks of March but April’s here and we’re catching Dolphin, Tuna, Sailfish, Cobia and Sharks.
The weeds have been scattered about since the last westerly front and so are the dolphin. Most of the dolphin are lifters and small gaffers but we had several 15 to 25 pound dolphin last week. Over the next 3 to 5 weeks big trophy dolphin of 35 to 45 pounds will be caught buy lucky anglers fishing the waters off the coast of Jupiter and Stuart, Why not You ? Schools of Blackfin Tuna are stacking up on a ridge 10 miles off the coast of Stuart. It doesn’t take long to put some fish in the box when the tunas are biting. Most of the blackfin tuna we’re catching on the ridge are 4 to 8 pounds but we catch 10 to 20 pound blackfins there every year during the spring.
Plenty of Bull Sharks and Cobia just 3 miles off the beach if you’re looking to bend the rods and put some meat in the box. These cobia range in size from 20 to 40 pounds but there’s always a few 50 to 60 pound cobia caught here.
We’ll be catching dolphin, tuna, sailfish, kingfish, bonito, cobia, wahoo, sharks and maybe a blue marlin or two over the next 6 weeks, What do you want to catch ? Give us a call and let’s go Catch’m !
