Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida has been day to day since my last report and we’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly. The weather conditions we’re ugly most of the week with westerly winds, overcast skies and scattered thunder storms. The low pressure system has finally moved on and I’m looking forward to a good week of fishing this week. The Dolphin fishing has been unpredictable which is unusual for this time of year. One day we catch a dozen or more and the next day we only catch a few. There’s plenty of Dolphin pushing through and with the winds back to the SE and the full moon behind us I expect the Dolphin to be much more aggressive the next few weeks. Sailfish are meandering back to the north on the edge of the gulfstream and they’ve been abundant just off the coast of Jupiter, Stuart and Jensen beach. The Sailfish are more spread out in the summer months and they’re not travelling in the huge packs like the winter time but it’s not unusual to catch 3 to 5 on a good day this time of year off the coast of Stuart, Florida. The bottom fishing has been excellent for Snappers, Groupers and Sea Bass so it’s a great way to start the day before heading into the gulfstream for Sailfish, Dolphin and Tuna. The bag limits are much more stringent on the bottom feeders but 1 grouper and 5 sea bass per person will start the day off right if you prefer meat fishin’ over sport fishin’. Tarpon are starting to show up along the beaches and there’s been quite a few Cobia caught around the reefs, wrecks and turtles the last couple of weeks. The Reel Busy is a full time charter boat and we catch’em all : Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna, Kingfish, Groupers & Snappers so give us a call and let’s go catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
