Hello Fish Fans, The offshore fishin this past week was about the same as it has been for the last 6 weeks with Kingfish and Bonita providing most of the action and the Sailfishin turnin on and off almost on a daily basis. The good news is the Dolphin fishin is pickin back up in the deeper waters of the Gulfstream. The weedlines are forming and debris is starting to move in from the hurricanes down in the carribean. The gulfstream currents will be bringing debris like wood, trees, pallots and other debis, most of these structures will be holding Dolphin and Wahoo. The Dolphin fishin has been reel slow for the last 6 weeks but should be excellent for the next 6 to 8 weeks especilally around the new moons during the middle of September and October. The Sailfish will begin showing up in greater numbers as fall moves in and the tempertures begin cooling down a little. I got out 1 night this week for the opening of snook season and caught a couple of Monster Snook, we had to let one go but we managed to squeeze one of them together enough to fit him into the 32″ slot. The new slot for Snook is 28″ minimum and 32″ maximum so you need to get a little lucky to catch the keepers. I’ll be back next week with another fishin report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the world. Catch you later, Capt.
