The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida has been excellent and 6 to 10 pound dolphin have been providing most of the action. The sea conditions have been a bit too sporty for most so we’ve only been out a couple times in the last 10 days. The next couple of days looks good so hopefully we’ll get back out there and catch some more dolphin and maybe a sailfish or two.
The dolphin fishing has been excellent due east of the inlet in 180 to 280 feet of water just 8 miles off the beach. The dolphin have all been heavy lifters and small gaffers from 6 to 12 pounds. We caught 7 dolphin and lost a few more on a 1/2 day charter and 16 dolphin and a wahoo on a 3/4 day charter. I was surprised we didn’t see more sailfish but these fronts will get them fired up.
