Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida is good to excellent right now and Dolphin, Tuna, Kingfish and Sailfish are providing the action. The Dolphin fishing has slowed a bit last week and we’re seeing alot more schooley size Dolphin. We fished a tournament last week and the Dolphin being caught were so small we got first place for a 7.4 Lb. Dolphin. I couldn’t believe it when we got to the weighin and the top Dolphin was 4.5 lbs. There’s still a few 15 to 30 lb. fish out there but there’s not as many as a couple weeks ago. There’s Blackfin Tuna migrating through and they’re starting to stack up on the hill. We caught 8 today in about two hours and they’ll be here in numbers for 3 to 5 weeks. Most of them are 7 to 10 pounds right now but 15 to 25 lb are caught regularly this time of year. The gulfstream waters are pushin 84 degrees and the Sailfish have started migrating back to the north for cooler waters. There’ll be days over the next 3 to 5 weeks where the Sailfishing will be excellent but even on a slow day you can catch a couple with a little bit of luck. The kingfishing has been fair and the Bonita make it tough to keep lines in the water anywhere near the Kingfish spots. The full moon is on the 15th this month and the next 10 days is a great time of year to take a shot at a Blue Marlin. There’s alot of Blue Marlin off the coast of Stuart this time of year and I’m quite sure that no other boat has caught as many as the Reel Busy over the last six years since relocating here from Islamorda. The Blue Marlin is the grand-daddy of them all and it’s never a sure thing but timing is everything and the Reel Busy knows how to catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
