Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been excellent since my last report and summertime fishing offers a wide variety of species to target. Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Kingfish, Cobia, Snappers/Groupers, Sharks and Tarpon are all waiting to play the game. We’ve been catchin 15 to 25 pound Dolphin on everytrip and 5 to 10 pound Dolphin are becoming more abundant. The Dolphin fishing is excellent right now and they’re gettin bigger. There’s nothin like watchin a Big Bull Dolphin slicing the water from 20 yards out before exploding on the bait, you gotta love it. The Blackfin Tuna have been stacking up off the corner of the Bahama Bank and finally showed up off the coast of Stuart this past week. We caught a dozen 7 to 12 pound Blackfin Tuna yesterday to go along with three 20 lb. Dolphin and a couple of lifters. Blackfin Tuna stack up on the hill this time of year and it’s consistantly productive day after day for weeks. The Cobia fishing remains good around the sandpile but there’s so much preasure on them now it’s slowing a bit. The Kingfish have arrived in numbers and most of the larger Kingfish are a few miles south towards Jupiter. The closure on Grouper fishing was lifted on May 1st, 2011 and if the currents are mild you can expect to catch Groupers and various Snappers on many of the wrecks in the area. The Yellowfin Tuna Bite on the east side of the gulfstream, north of the Bahama bank has been hot one day and not the next but we’re still consistantly catchin 30 to 40 pound Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna up to 20 pounds when the Yellowfins aren’t cooperative. Knowledge, Experience and Effort makes a difference so give me a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
