Hello Fish fans, The Dolphin fishin continues to be excellent off the coast of Stuart in 600 to 800 feet of water providing catches of 20 to 30 Dolphin on every full day trip. Dolphin fishin on the Reel Busy this time of year is an experience you’ll never forget. We head offshore at 30 to 40 mph lookin for weedlines, birds and debris so we don’t troll you to sleep. When we find what we’re lookin for we’ll put out the lines and troll up a couple of Dolphin, that’s when Islamorada Style kicks in. While keeping the boat in gear we don’t bring any fish closer than 15 or 20 feet from the boat which keeps the whole school of Dolphin travelling with us. The open style Contender with rod holders all around the boat allows us to keep hookin-up fish with light tackle spinners till we get 6 or 8 of them hooked-up up at the same time. Once we get all the rods hooked-up we start bringing them in one at a time and hookin-up another before the next one is boated, it gets pretty wild but 15 or 20 Dolphin is a no-brainer this time of year if you know how to play the game. On a 1/2 day trip yesterday we got lucky in 700 feet of water and found a red bouy can that had broken loose from somewhere and was drifting in the Gulfstream, we caught 2 Wahoo and lo/2 more to go with the 10 Dolphin we had in the box. The next 7 to 10 days the Dolphin fishin will continue to be as good as it gets so give me a call and we’ll hook you up with a box load of Dolphin and have a great time doing it. The seas are calm and the fishin is great so I’ll be back next week with another excellent fishin report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World.
