Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida is starting to fire up and the Sailfish & Dolphin are ready to play the game. There’s packs of Sailfish in the neighborhood now and any day can be a double digit day on the Reel Busy. Sailfish of all sizes are in these packs from 10 to 15 lb pups to 70/ 80 lb pops. The Sailfish Packs can be as little as 3 to 5 fish but I’ve seen packs over the years with too many to count and boats backing down in every direction with doulbles, triples and quads. Yesterday the conditions were a bit choppy and catching a Sailfish was a birthday wish for a 10 year old boy on board. I always feel some presure to get hooked up as soon as possible on a 1/2 day but there’s always a bit more when you’re dealing with wishes and dreams. The first bite of the day was a pair of 16 lb Bonita that probably felt like Moby Dick to the pair of 10 year old boys on this end of the line. The boys did a great job and I knew if I could find the fish they could catch’em. We had a couple of opportunities with reel small Sailfish but never got hooked up til dad started chummin. We hooked-up the perfect Sailfish about 35 lbs and after about a 20 minute fight we shot pictures and set him free, Happy Birthday ! We caught a nice Dolphin for dinner and decided it was time to get dad back on solid ground so we headed back to Pirates Cove. The Dolphin fishing has been a bit hit & miss but with a new moon this week there’ll be more hittin than missin going on over the next couple of weeks. Most of the Dolphin we’re catching right now are 7 to 15 lbs and 4 or 5 of those is a pile of filets. Wanna catch Sailfish & Dolphin? Just give me a call and we’ll hook you up. There contiunues to be an abundance of reel small Blackfin Tuna on the edge of the gulfstream but you’ll have to pick through the runts to get a few worth cuttting up. The waters  off the coast of Stuart, Florida hold a wide variety of fish this time of year. Sailfish, Dolphin, Kingfish, Wahoo, Cobia, Tuna, Bonita, Barracuda and Sharks are all on the menu. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World.  Catch you later,  Capt. Wayne,  Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
