Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been good but the conditions have been sporty and then some. The Sailfishing has been slowing down for the past few weeks and back to back cold fronts have scattered them to deeper offshore waters. The good news is the springtime fishery is taking over and we’re catchin’ Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna and Cobia. Giant Manta Rays are showing up along the current edges with packs of Cobia beneath them. Locate the Rays and it doesn’t take long to catch the one per person limit. Small Blackfin Tuna in the 3 to 5 pound range have begun stacking up on Push Button Hill about 12 miles off the beach. It’s a bit early for them and they’ll get bigger but they’re tasty. The Dolphin fishing has been good and will only get better over the next few weeks. The cold fronts have kept the Dolphin further offshore but if you venture out to 600 feet of water you’ll catch’em. We caught a dozen Dolphin yesterday in the 7 to 10 pound range and lost a couple more. The fishing is good and with a little bit of luck old man winter will get lost and the conditions will be as good as the fishing. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 305-304-9049 cell or 772-288-1332 home

Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida the last ten days has been Hit & Miss. The Sailfishing is slowing down and some days you won’t see one but there’s still days you’ll catch 3 to 5 if you’re lucky. The Dolphin fishing has been the same way, one day they’re everywhere and the next day they don’t exist. March is a transitional month and as we move through the next several weeks the Springtime fish like Dolphin, Tuna and Wahoo will become more plentiful. Most of the Dolphin we’ve been catchin the last couple of weeks have been small but there’s been a couple of 20 pound Dolphin caught and they’re gonna get bigger. Manta Rays have been all along the coast with packs of Cobia beneath them. The larger cobia will start showing up soon on the reefs and wrecks off the coast of Stuart. I’ve heard no reports as of yet but the Yellowfin Tuna will start showing up off the corner of the Bahama Bank over the next few weeks and I look forward to Tuna Time. Springtime offers a wide variety of fish to catch. Sailfish, Dolphin, Bonita, Kingfish, Cobia, Tuna, Blue Marlin and Wahoo are all targets to consider. When you’re ready to catch fish give me a call and I’ll hook you up. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida remains good to excellent but it’s been sporty. The Sailfish are still here in numbers and on most days we’re catchin a few. We only had two hooked-up on Thursday and lost them both but Friday we hooked-up four and caught’em all. The Dolphin fishing has been day to day but overall I’d say it’s fair to good. The good days produce 10 to 12 Dolphin but the slower days only produce a few. There’s Manta Rays and acres of bait showing up and as the seas settle down this week the Cobia fishing should be excellent around the rays and turtles. The seas will be settling down this week and the fishing should be excellent so give me a call and let’s go catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 305-304-9049 cell

Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida had been slower then normal for this time of year but they’re back. The Dolphin fishing the last fews days has been excellent. Packs of Schooley Dolphin are travelling along the edge of the gulfstream eating anything in their path. The Sailfishing may be slowing a bit but when you add a boxful of Dolphin to a couple of Sailfish you gotta great day. I expect the fishing to be excellent over the next couple of weeks so if you wanna catch’em give me a call and I’ll hhok you up. Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

Hello Fish Fans, The Sailfishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida has been excellent for weeks now but it slowed a bit the last few days. The Sailfish won the game on Thursday but we did have one hooked-up breifly. Friday was better but I don’t think the Sailfish were interested in feeding. We caught two and had 3 or 4 more that attacked the baits but didn’t eat. The full moon may have slowed the Sailfishing with all the bait moving into the area but there’s still allot of Sailfish here and I expect the Sailfishing will pick back up as we move through the week. The Spanish Sardines are gathering on the reefs/wrecks and over the next couple of weeks the Dolphin fishing will improve and the Cobia will start moving in. During the month of February we’ll be catching Sailfish, Dolphin, Cobia, Wahoo, Kingfish and Bonita. Give me a call and Let’s Go Catch’em ! I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

Hello Fish Fans, The Sailfishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has never been better and they’re still coming. The slowest day we had this past week produced 4 Sailfish releases and the best day was 8. The tournament boats fish for numbers and not the fight, these boats are releasing 10 to 15 a day by chasing them down for release points. The Sailfish are moving around in packs so we’re catchin as many double and triple hook-ups as we are single hook-ups. Whether we’re live bait fishing or trolling swimming ballyhoo the transition from waiting and watching to the pandemonium of a multiple Sailfish hook-up is an experience you’ll never forget. Now’s the time to get on board the Reel Busy and catch a few Sailfish, you’ll be glad you did. The Dolphin fishing continues to be slower than normal but as the water warms up the Dolphin will get fired up again. There was a more Dolphin caught this week than there was last week and next week should be better than this one. The Wahoo are starting to show up and there were several fish in the 30 to 40 Lb range caught this past week. The Wahoo is the fastest fish in the ocean and Wahoo fishing is usually at it’s best off the coast of Stuart Florida in late winter and spring around the full moons. Kingfish are abundant right now between 75 & 100 feet of water for those of you that like those slimy things. The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida will continue to be excellent for the next several months so give us a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

hello Fish Fans, The Sailfishing is still goin off up and down the waters off the coast of Stuart. The last cold front produced the coldest week we’ve seen in south Florida for almost 30 years and it absolutely shut down the Dolphin fishing but the Sailfishing is as good as it gets anywhere in the world. Catching 2 or 3 Sailfish is almost a no brainer right now and I expect to catch 3 to 5 every trip while hoping for 7 to 10. The tempertures are getting back to normal and there’s acres of Threadfin Herring and Spanish Sardines moving in which means the Cobia are on the way. The Cobia fishing is excellent in February and March when they stack up on the numerous wrecks off the coast of Stuart feeding on the Spanish Sardines that are beginning to arrive. Kingfish and Bonita have been abundant lately which is great for bending the rods but they can be a pain in the azz when targeting Sailfish. The waters are warming up and the Dolphin will start eating again as the water temperture gets back to the mid to upper 70’s. The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida will continue to be excellent and as we slowly trasition into springtime fishing over the next 4 to 6 weeks. The weeks to come will produce a great variety of fish and we’ll be catching Sailfish, Dolphin, Cobia, Wahoo, Kingfish, Bonita and Tuna. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-288-1332 home or 305-304-9049 cell

Hello Fish Fans, I don’t ever remember a time when I was glad that I went a week without a fishing but this past week it hasn’t bothered me at all. I’m a fish-head and there’s nothing that I’d rather do but it’s too damn cold for this Florida Boy. Normally this time of year it’s about 50 degrees when we leave the dock and by 10am it’s in the upper 60’s but today it’s 32 degrees with a wind chill of 21 degrees and it’s not expected to get over 45 the whole day. There hasn’t been many boats out on the water but the ones that got out found the same great fishing that we had before the cold front. The heaviest concentration of Sailfish is still about 15 miles north of our inlet and there’s still plenty of Dolphin in-between the packs of Sailfish. The good news is we’ll start warming up and by mid-week the tempertures will be back to normal. The Yellowfin Tuna trips in March & April are starting to book so if you’re planning on getting in on the Yellowfin action again this year it’s time to start making arrangements. They’ll start showing up off the corner of the Bahama Bank mid to late February and by mid March Yellowfin Tuna 50 to 75 lbs will be teaming the waters off the Bahama Bank. The Sailfishing off the coast of Stuart Florida should continue to be excellent for the next several weeks so give us a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfsih Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

Happy New Year Fish Fans ! We start out the new year with a cold front as brutal as I can remember in recent years. Evening tempertures in the low 30’s and highs in the upper 50’s for the next 3 days will have the Sailfish on the run for sure. The Sailfishing due east of Stuart has been fair to good but 15 to 20 miles north has been as good as it gets. The 1/2 day trips closer to the inlet produced a few Dolphin and at least one Sailfish on most of the trips. The full day trips to the north produced a few dolphin and 5 or more Sailfish on every trip. The Dolphin over the last week were smaller than we had been seeing but as the full moon begins to shade the dolphin fishing should be good to excellent once again. This cold front will get the Sailfish on the move and for the next few weeks the Sailfishing off the coast of Stuart will be as good as it gets anywhere in the world. There’s been 1 or 2 boats with 10 or more Sailfish releases everyday and if you want to catch’em now’s the time. Sailfishing is the main attraction this time of year but we’re catching plenty of Dolphin and Kingfish as well. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters

Merry Christmas Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart is as good as it gets right now with Dolphin, Sailfish and Kingfish providing the action. The Sailfishing has been fair to good due east of the St. Lucie Inlet but it’s been red hot about 15 miles north of the inlet. The Dolphin fishing has been good up to the north but it’s been red hot due east and to the south of the St. Lucie Inlet. You can take your pick and we’ll put you on them. The days we’ve been fishing the southern waters we’ve been catching 10 to 12 Dolphin up to 20 pounds but only a Sailfish or two. The days we’ve fished up to the north we’ve been catching 2 to 5 Sailfish and a few Dolphin. We’ve been fishing for Sailfish and Dolphin with mono leaders so most of the Kingfish that chew the baits cut us off but we’re getting lucky and still catching one or two kingfish on the typical day fishing. The sea conditions have been up and down but most days have been 2-4 and 3-5 foot seas which is perfect for a good days fishing. Give us a call if you’re ready to catch fish and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne
