Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin Fishing off the coast of Stuart is gettin’ better and we’re catching a few on every trip. There’s a nice variety of fish along the west side of the gulfstream including Dolphin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna and Bonita. Small packs of Dolphin in the 6 to 8 pound range are starting to push through and the biggest one we saw this past week was about 20 pounds. The gulfstream currents are screaming right now at about 5 knots and with the new moon the fish have been very aggressive. We’ve been more successful than most of the boats fishing for Dolphin because we’ve been trolling more plastic than bait. Trolling plastic allows us to cover more ground into the currents and Dolphin/Wahoo can’t resist the fast action. The birds are already starting to move south and it looks like fall is going to move in early this year. The fishing should be consistantly good from here on out so give us a call and let’s go catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
