The weather has kept the boats off the water the last two weeks and I’m goin’ nuts. Last week was fishable if you’re into rainy, stormy conditions and thunder and lightning excites you but I’ve been hit before and it’s definitely overrated. This week the winds been blowin 20 to 30 knots with 7′ to 10′ seas and today’s the first day we’ve seen winds under 20 knots. The winds and seas are laying down and the fishing should be good over the Labor Day weekend on into next week. The fish haven’t had anyone to play with for the last couple of weeks so they should be ready to play the game. Sailfish, Dolphin, Kingfish and Bonita should be feeding on the baitfish stacked up along the edge of the gulfstream six to eight miles off the beach. We’ll be catchin’ fish and you could too, give us a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with a fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt.
