The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida’s been good and we’ve been catching allot of dolphin and a few sailfish. Kingfish and bonita have been abundant around the reefs and wrecks for those just looking to bend the rods.
We expect to catch a handful of dolphin on all of our fishing charters this time of year but we’ve been catching more 15 to 25 pound dolphin than expected. Most of the dolphin have been 7 to 10 pounds with a few 15 to 20 pound dolphin in the mix. We had a bull dolphin on for about 20 minutes the other day that was all of 30 pounds but the hook pulled during the show. We’ve been catching at least 3 to 5 dolphin on all of our fishing charters, 8 to 12 on the good days so if you’re ready to catch’em just give us a call and we’ll hook you up.
The sailfish are still a bit hit & miss but they’re finally making their way south of Fort Pierce and another cold front or two Stuart should have a red hot sailfish bite. We’ve got another cold front pushing through this weekend and hope to see a more consistent sailfish bite in the next week or two. Acres of threadfin herring and Spanish sardines are starting to show up and you can bet the sailfish won’t be too far behind.
Kingfish and bonita are plentiful around the reefs and wrecks and with all the bait moving in it won’t be long before packs of cobia start showing up. We still have some open dates in February and if you wanna catch fish just give us a call and get hooked-up with REEL BUSY CHARTERS, you’ll catch fish !
I’ll be back in a week or so with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
