Hello Fish Fans,  The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida is excellent right now and it’s Mahi Mahi Time. The springtime bite is on and packs of Dolphin are roaming the edge of the gulfstream tearing up the flying fish. Most of the Dolphin we’re catching are lifters and gaffers, 5 to 15 pounds but the next six weeks is prime time for Big Dolphin from 25 to 50 pounds. One of the most awesome sites you ever see is a Big Bull Dolphin all lit up in blue and green as it cuts through the spread and explodes on the bait. The big ones over 40 pounds know they’re a bad ass and seemingly jump out of the water in slow motion while violently shaking their head, it’s an awesome sight to see. The Tuna fishing on the hill 10 miles off the beach is good to excellent and there’s an abundance of Blackfin Tuna from 5 to 10 pounds. We haven’t had one over 14 pounds yet but the season has just begun and they’ll be a few. The seas conditions forced us to post pone our Bahama trip this weekend so I don’t have a solid Yellowfin Tuna report but I’m sure they’re there and ready to play the game. There’s quite a few Sailfish around and they’re a great bonus fish with a fishbox full of Tuna and Dolphin, you gotta love it. When it’s time to catch fish, get hooked-up with Reel Busy Charters, Let’s Go Catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
