Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida should be excellent by now but it’s been just a pick. We seem to be moving away from the wacky weather cycle we had in April but the super moon this weekend held the Dolphin fishing to just a pick. The winds were blowing through Wednesday and we didn’t get out till Friday so I couldn’t wait to get on the fish. We had a tough morning taking turns jumping off Dolphin like we were using rubber hooks but got lucky in the afternoon. The gulfstream currents were screamin’ likely because of the Supermoon so we ran back south about 10 miles to looking for signs of life. We saw a few flying fish and some scattered weed so we started trolling and it wasn’t long before we found a gift from God. Two little white birds sitting on top of a 15 foot log with Jacks, Triple Tail and Dolphin below.  We hooked-up a Dolphin on the first pass and finally put some meat in the boat but they didn’t want to play the game so we only caught a few and headed for home. The moon will be less of a factor in the coming days and the Dolphin will be feeding more aggressively during the daylight hours. The Blackfin Tuna dissapeared off the hill so we didn’t spend alot of time there the last three days but we checked it out and caught a couple on Saturday afternoon. The Dolphin fishing continued to be slow yesterday but we traveled further out to 600/ 800 feet of water and caught a couple, lost a couple and missed a couple. There wasn’t much of a Sailfish bite this past week and they’ll be here one day and gone the next so you’ll need to be patient but if you wanna catch’em we can give it a try. The Grouper fishing’s been good when the currents been mild but it was screaming most of the week so we’ll check it out later in the week as the full moon tides & currents settle down a bit. There’s two fishing tournaments being held out of Pirates Cove this month with entry fees of 300.00 or less. The first is fishing on the 12th for Dolphin with a kick-off party the night before. The second is on the 26th for Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Snapper and Grouper with a kick-off party the night before. Give me a call if you’d like to add some fun to a good day of fishing and try to win one of these things. The Dolphin fishing will fire back up in the next few days and the Tuna will be returning to the hill so get out on the water and catch some fish. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World.  Catch you later,  Capt. Wayne Brodeur,  Reel Busy Charters   772-341-6609
