Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing continues to be hit & miss off the coast of Stuart, Florida but the good news is we’re starting to see a few big ones. There was a 42lb Bull Dolphin weighed in last week and a few in the 2o to 30 lb range. The westerly winds have prevented the weedlines from forming and the best Dolphin bite’s been 15 to 20 miles off the beach in 600 to 800 feet of water. There’s been a few Dolphin closer to shore in-between the Bonita bites but they’ve been reel scattered. There’s a few Blackfin Tuna on the Hill already but not many over 6 to 8 lbs and they’re not stacked up yet. There’s been a few Kingfish around and the biggest concentration is off Sebastian working there way to the south. I haven’t been off the Bahama Bank in search of Yellowfin Tuna yet but it’s that time of year and you know there out there. We’ll be hunting down the Yellowfins for the next several months catching Yellowfin Tuna, Dolphin, Blackfin & Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish and Blue Marlin. The bottom fishing for Mutton Snappers has been good from Stuart to Jupiter and we’ll resume bottom fishing trips from Stuart to Jensen Beach for Grouper on May 1st when the season opens back up on Grouper. Although catch and release of Grouper is permitted during the closed season it’s in the grouper fisheries best interest that we leave them alone. They would survive the return to the deep after being vented proberly but they’re easy prey for the Goliath Grouper which are abundant on the reefs & wrecks off the coast of Florida. We’ll be catchin Dolphin, Tuna, Kingfish, Wahoo, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Snappers & Groupers over the next few months and you can to just give me a call and get hooked-up with REEL BUSY CHARTERS 772-341-6609. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
