Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, FL continues to be good to excellent on most days and Sailfish, Dolphin and Wahoo have all been eager to play the game. This is the best time of year to catch a Big Bull Dolphin and there’s nothing like a 40 to 50 pound Bull when it explodes on a bait. The big green monster comes out of the water shaking it’s head and it’s game on. The biggest Dolphin weighed in so far at Pirates Cove is 44 pounds but it’s not unusual to catch a 50 to 60 pound Dolphin this time of year. There’s been a lot of Sailfish around for the last week or 2 and we’ve been hooking- up or jumping off a Sailfish or 2 on almost every trip. We spend most of our time targeting Dolphin & Tuna this time of year but it’s always exciting to hook-up a Sailfish or 2. The Blackfin Tuna have been moving on and off the hill with the changing sea conditions but the seas have settled down and the Tuna be stacking up on the hill. The seas conditions forced us to cancel another trip to the Bank for Yellowfin Tuna last weekend but a friend is there now so we’ll have a Yellowfin report coming soon. Stuart Florida isn’t known for it’s Blue Marlin Fishing but we catch a few aboard the Reel Busy almost every year during the month’s of May, June and July, especially around the full moons. The Dolphin and Tuna are plentiful this time of year and the Blue Marlin show up to feed on them. Most of the Blue Marlin we catch off the coast of Stuart are 150 to 250 pounds but we released one last year that was well over 300 pounds.
