Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing continues to be good to excellent off the coast of Stuart Florida aboard the Reel Busy. The weed lines that began forming up were all busted up by a cold front leaving allot of scattered weed and a scattered Dolphin Bite. We’ve been catching Gaffer Dolphin 15 to 25 pounds on every charter but we’ve had some quiet time hunting them down on a few days. We caught another 30 pound Bull Dolphin last week and there’s no doubt it’s only a matter of time before we catch another 40 or 50 pound Monster Bull. The Dolphin are moving through in small packs so when it goes off it’s been Reel Busy in the cockpit. Most of the Dolphin are heavy lifters & gaffers 8 to 12 pounds with 15 to 20 pound Dolphin in the mix. It’s been a great start to the Dolphin Fishing Season and we look forward to some excellent Dolphin fishing as we move through spring and into the summer. There’s still a few Sailfish around and we’ve been catching one on most of our charters the last couple of weeks while Dolphin fishing. Like the Dolphin the Sailfish are scattered about but there’s plenty of bait both near shore and offshore so I don’t see them going anywhere soon. The Sailfishing will remain hit & miss but we’ll be catching a few every week. Dolphin or MAHI-MAHI will be providing most of the action in the coming weeks but we’ll also be catching Sailfish, Wahoo, Tuna and Cobia. We’re still awaiting the arrival of Blackfin Tuna that stack up on the hill during the spring and summer months but we did catch a 15 pound Blackfin Tuna this past week. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters
