The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida’s been good to us for the most part and we’ve managed to catch our targeted species on most of our fishing charters. Sailfish, dolphin, tuna, cobia, kingfish, bonito, sharks and amberjacks have been providing the action.
The summer sailfish run is on and the sailfish have been plentiful just 3 to 5 miles off the beach. Sailfish are know to stack up off the coast of Stuart in the winter months but there’s an excellent sailfish bite during July and August every year.
The dolphin and tunas have been mostly on the small side the last couple of weeks but there’s a few bigger ones in the mix. The tunas are stacked up on a ridge about 10 miles offshore and they’re not reel big but they taste great on a plate when the dolphin don’t want to play the game.
We’ll be fishing the waters off the coast of Stuart and several trips to the Bahamas coming up and we’ll let you know what we’re catching in a week or two. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur
