Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida continues to be good and we’re catching Sailfish, Dolphin and Tuna. The sea conditions over the weekend got a bit sporty with 4 to 7 foot seas but with a hardy crew we headed out for a 1/2 day trip. We were targeting Sailfish and Dolphin but the Blackfin Tuna were stacked up in 150′ foot of water making it hard to keep the baits in the water. Most of the Tuna were small and chewing the tails off the ballyhoo so we caught a little sushi and moved in. We hooked-up a Sailfish in 130′ and got a nice show before the hook pulled out and unfortunetly didn’t get another shot before we headed in. The sun didn’t come out till we got back to the dock and I’m sure we would’ve caught a couple of Sailfish had we been out for the day because the Sailfish are here and they’re eager to play the game. We caught a couple of nice Dolphin and lost a couple more before heading back to the dock so all in all it was a good day and everybody had a good time. The fishing is good and there’s plenty of open days this time of year so give me a call and let’s go catch’em. The hot bite will change from day to day but we’ll be catching Sailfish. Dolphin, Tuna, Cobia and Wahoo throughout the fall. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt.
