Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida lit up this weekend and it’s time to get out there and catch some fish. The fishing had been a bit hit & miss which is unuaual for this time of year but this last cool front got things fired up. The main attraction this time of year is Sailfish and Dolphin but they were joined last week by Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish and Wahoo. The Sailfishing was good and there’s alot more Sailfish scattered about between Jupiter and Stuart outside the color change. I’ve had alot of great days catchin’ Sailfish over the last 30 years but somehow I managed to bob & weeve around all of them on Saturday. I guess a little humble pie is unavoidable every now & then but I’m reel glad I don’t have to eat it very often. We had a great day with a dozen Dolphin, a monster Kingfish, Sharks, Bonitas and a few Seagulls but it sure would have been nice to add a few Sailfish to the day. The Sailfish are finally showing up in numbers and the Sailfishing will be good to excellent for the next 4 to 6 weeks so let’s go catch’em. The Dolphin fishing is excellent so there’s plenty of action in-between the sailfish bites. Most of the Dolphin are 7 to 10 pounds with a few 15 to 20 pound gaffers in the mix. We spend most of our days targeting Sailfish & Dolphin this time of year but we’ll be happy to put on some wire and target Dolphin & Wahoo for those who prefer meat fishin’ over sport fishin’. We’re catchin’ fish and you can too just give me a call and we’ll hook you up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
