Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida was dissapointing last week although we managed to catch a few nice fish. The Sailfishing went from hot to not and all the treadfins that were stacked up off Jensen Beach dissapeared as well. The second major cold front of the year is pushing through this weekend so hopefully next week will provide a better Sailfish bite and push the treadfins down the coast as well. The Dolphin fishing continues to be spotty but when we catch’em there 10 to 20 pounds so it doesn’t take many to pile up the filets. The Dolphin travel the edges of the gulfstream this time of year chasing down flying fish and we’ve had some good days when the flying fish are abundant but it’s been a struggle to catch’em when the flyers are scattered. The Blackfin Tuna have started showing up on the hill about 10 miles off the beach and they’re eager to play the game. Some of the Blackfin Tuna are only 2 to 3 pounds but we’re catching a few that are 7 to 10 pounds. We’ll catch’em up to 25 pounds but haven’t seen the big ones yet. I don’t usually start Tuna fishing till March but had to check it out last week when the Sailfish & Dolphin didn’t want to play the game and we found plenty of action and filets. We hooked-up a couple of Wahoo last week and boated one that was 28 pounds. The Wahoo is the fastest fish in the ocean and tablefare that is second to none. We’re catchin fish and you can too just give me a call and we’ll hook you up.
