Hello Fish Fans, It was a great week of fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida this past week and Sailfish, Dolphin and Tuna were all eager to play the game. We didn’t spend anytime Sailfishng this past week but hooked them up everyday and caught a couple. The Sailfish are meandering back north and there a bit deeper this time of year but there’s plenty around and they’re reel aggressive. We fished for Dolphin/Tuna everyday this week and had Sailfish relentlessly attacking chugger lures several times a day. They’re tough to hook on plastic but it’s a site you’ll never forget especially when they stay with it long enough to slide a ballyhoo in front of them. The Blackfin Tuna were more plentiful and we’re seeing more in the 10 to 12 lb range but nothing in the 20’s yet. Blackfin Tuna will be on the hill 11 miles off the beach for at least the next couple of months but May is probably the best month for the big ones. The Dolphin fishing has started to fire up a bit and the best is yet to come. Most of the Dolphin early in the week were only 3 to 5 lbs with a few up to 15 but we had a 15 and a 26 yesterday so it looks like the big ones are starting to show up.
