Hello Fish Fans, The offshore fishing right now is good to excellent with Dolphin and Sailfish providing the action. The Dolphin Fishin has been very consistant and you can expect 10 to 15 pounders on almost every trip. The action has been 5 to 6 miles offshore in 80 to 120 feet af water and as fall moves in the action will continue. The Sailfisin has been turning on and off, one day you’ll go out and catch 4 or 5 and the next day you’ll be lucky to see one. The first cool front is passing thru today with 30mph winds and 9 to 11 foot seas, I don’t mind 4 to 6 or even 6 to 8 foot seas but when it gets over 10 feet it’s not fishable, let alone fun. The wind and seas will be settling down in a few days and you can expect the fishing to be red hot when it does. The sloppy conditions will make it very tough for the fish to feed so when it settles down they’ll me on the hunt aggressively feeding. We haven’t been fishing for Kingfish with so many Dolphin and Sailfish around but we’ve been getting plenty of cut-offs so if you want to catch’em we can hook you up. This past week before the winds picked up the Tarpon were all along the beaches bustin up the bait and some of these fish are close to 150 pounds. The inter-coastal waterway and the inlets are teaming with Tarpon feeding on schools of mullet. October is a great time of year to spend a couple of days fishin the waters in and around Stuart catchin Sailfish, Dolphin and Tarpon. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
