Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart this past week was good but not as good as it was before the front. There’s been plenty of Sailfish and Dolphin but they’ve been scattered about so there’s been a bit of quiet time between flurries of action. As the cold fronts push through the winds circle the compass and come from every direction pulling apart the weedlines and current edges making it a bit more of a challenge to get on the fish. One day the fish will be abundant in 240’-280’ of water and the next day they’ll be 80’-120’ of water. We got out a few days last week and caught some nice Dolphin and a couple of Sailfish but Saturday was the slowest than expected and it took all day to catch 5 or 6 small Dolphin. I guess I was do for a day like that and I was happy to see that they were ready to play the game on Sunday. The fishing will be good to excellent through the winter months but there’ll be days you’ll need to patiently wait for the pack of fish that wants to play the game. We’re catching Dolphin and/or Sailfish on every trip so give me a call and let’s go catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World.
