Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been reel good but as the week progressed the winds and seas built up to an unfishable weekend.  The first part of the week the seas were 2 to 3 and the Sailfish and Dolphin bite was on. Wednesday got a little choppy with  15 to 20 mph winds and 3 to 5 foot sea but excellent Dolphin fishing. Thursday was a bit sporty with 4 to 6 foot seas and an excellent Dolphin bite. We got covered up a couple of times with little Blackfin Tuna, not big enough to pull drag but we kept a few for sushi anyway. Friday the seas were even more impressive with a 20 to 25mph wind pushing a 6 to 9 foot sea. It was reel sporty and the rain kept us at the dock till 9 but it was a tough group so we headed out. We caught several gaffer Dolphin, a Cobia and few Bonita. The weekend is unfishable with 12 to 16 foot seas and winds blowing 20 to 35 mph. The winds will be dropping off  over the next 24 hours and the fishing will be off the wall so give me a call and let’s go catch’em. The water tempertures have been dropping almost 1 degree per day for the last week there’s an abundance of Sailfish and Dolphin migrating south. The best thing about Dolphin fishing this time of year is that most of the fish we’re catching are 7 to 15lbs and they’re just 4 to 6 miles off the beach in less than 100′ of water. The Sailfishing has been good to excellent and there’s reports of huge packs of Sailfish off New Symerna Beach just north of us. I expect we’ll start seeing double digit days for Sailfish releases over the next week or so and there’ll be plenty of Dolphin to lkeep you reel busy in-between the Sailfish bites. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
