Hello Fish Fans, The Sailfish bite is still goin strong off the coast of Stuart Florida and should be for at least the next 30 days. The live bait is abundant, Greenies, Pilchards, Threadfin Herring and Blue Runners are balled up all along the coast. The Spanish Mackerel are so thick you’ll need to go out to about 50 feet of water or you’ll be changin sabiki rigs as fast as you can take them out of the package. This past week we caught more double and triple hook-ups than we did singles, it gets pretty wild when you have 3 or 4 Sailfish on at the same time but on an open style boat like the Reel Busy we catch all of them about 90 percent of the time, each angler follows their fish around the boat passin over and under the other anglers as needed til we finally get to the last Sailfish and release’em. The Schooley Dolphin showed up again this week, not in great numbers but they’re a tasty treat at the end of a great day of Sailfishin. The resturant at Pirates Cove makes up a reely nice platter with your catch, Batter Fried, Baked and Blackened, you’re gonna love it. A couple of boats ran into a few Cobia under Giant Manta Rays this week in about 75 feet of water, it’s a little early in the season to target them but when you see big Sea Turtles or Manta Rays you gotta check it out, the Cobia is one of the best tasteing fish in the ocean. I haven’t been fishin for them lately but the Kingfish and Wahoo are in town for those who want to put on the wire and meat fish, I don’t care to eat the Kingfish but Wahoo is Excellent. I’ll be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters Let’s Go Fishin ! 305-304-9049
