(772) 341-6609 Book A Charter Today!

Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been inconsistent for the last couple of weeks and we look forward to Stuart Florida Fishing in 2015. We’ve had some reel good days catching 6 to 8 dolphin and a sailfish or two but some days they just didn’t want to play the game. It’s been a few weeks since the last cold front  and hopefully the cold front that’s pushing through today will fire things back up. There’s allot more bait around the reefs and wrecks so we’ve been live bait fishing and trolling catching sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, bonita and cobia.

Now’s the time to plan your next Stuart Florida Fishing Charter. Although we catch sailfish, dolphin, tuna, wahoo and cobia year-round here’s the prime time info for the most popular species we catch.

It’s been a mild winter so far and it’s looking like mid January through February may have the best sailfish bite of the season. We’re getting  2 or 3 shots most days but we should be getting 3 to 5 this time of year. March and maybe even April could have a decent sailfish bite with a continued mild winter.

The dolphin or mahi-mahi fishing is usually good throughout the winter months but April, May and early June is considered prime time for the big ones. January through June consistently offers good to excellent dolphin fishing and they’re usually eager to play the game.

Blackfin Tuna start showing up on a ridge 10 miles off the beach late winter and stack up during the springtime. They’re not as plentiful in March and April as they are in May and June but there usually bigger early in the season. The tuna bite on the ridge is usually excellent May, June and July.

Cobia are starting to show up now and we catch them into the summer months around the reefs and wrecks just off the coast of Stuart and Jensen Beach. The most exciting cobia fishing is sight casting to cobia under giant manta rays.  This only occurs a couple of times a year and it doesn’t last long. The manta rays usually show up between mid January and late February.

Wahoo start showing up in the winter months but we catch most of them during the spring and summer months around the full moons. March and April are probably the best months to catch them off the coast of Stuart and Jupiter because of the abundance of bonita along the coast.

Thank You for fishing with us in 2014 and we look forward to fishing with you again in 2015. We’ll be back next week with another Stuart Florida Fishing Report. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
