Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin Fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been hit & miss for about a week now but we’re catching gaffers up to 20/30 pounds. Steady 15 mph east/southeast breezes are pushing more Dolphin to the inside edge of the stream so I expect we’ll have a better Dolphin Bite this coming week. Every year Big Dolphin of 40 to 60 pounds are caught off the coast of Stuart & Jupiter this time of year and packs of 5 to 10 pound Dolphin push through. There’s still a few Sailfish being caught on most days and it’s always a hot aggressive bite this time of year. The Tuna fishing on the hill just 10 miles off the beach has been a bit hit & miss but there’s been allot of Big Blackfin Tuna this year and as the water heats up the Blackfins will be more abundant. We did our first Yellowfin Tuna Trip of the year last week and found an abundance of Blackfin Tuna, Skip-Jack Tuna and a few Yellowfin Tuna. The Yellowfins we’re 25 to 40 pounds and we pulled the hook on a 75-80 pound Yellowfin after 25 minutes as it circled below the boat and rolled. It was a bummer to lose the big one but we had a great day and caught a pile of assorted Tuna’s. I thought I might miss the speed of my 31 Contender when we started doing the corner trips but it took less than 45 minutes longer on the 35 CABO EXPRESS and everybody was allot more comfortable, I’m loving the CABO. It’s a great time of year for Stuart Florida Fishing and the Bahamas so give us a call and get hooked-up aboard the REEL BUSY. I’ll be back next week with another Stuart Florida Fishing Report.
