Hello Fish Fans, The fishing was good  off the coast of Stuart, Florida for most of the week but slowed a bit as the weekend approached and the winds shut us down for the weekend. The gulfstream currents have been forming up weedlines and we’re finally starting to see more Dolphin off the coast of Jensen Beach, Stuart & Jupiter. Most of the Dolphin we’ve been catching have been 5 to 10 lbs with a few peanuts and gaffers in the mix. The Dolphin fishing will be good to excellent on most days for the next couple of months and even on a slow day we can usually hunt down a few. Blackfin Tuna were stacked up on Push Button Hill for most of the week but they were’nt playing the game on Friday. Most of the Blackfin Tuna have been 4 to 6 lbs, a couple up to 12 and there’s bigger ones on the way. We catch Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna and Wahoo on Push Button Hill this time of year and every now & then we’ll find a surprize on the hill. Capt. Pete aboard My Other Honey caught and released a White Marlin on back to back days while trolling for Blackfin Tuna on the hill last week. We don’t catch alot of White Marlin on our side of the gulfstream anymore but there seems to be more showing up over the last couple of years. I’d like to think the catch & release practices that most of us adhere to reguarding billfish is starting to pay off with White Marlin & Blue Marlin like it has with Sailfish. Trolling for Blue Marlin isn’t for everybody and requires a love for the ocean or a hell of allot of patience but the Blue Marlin fishery off the coast of Stuart, Florida is vastly underated and under fished. Full moons during April, May, June & July are all prime time weeks to catch Blue Marlin so if you wanna battle the beast Reel Busy Charters can hook you up. There’s been a few Sailfish around and they’ll come through in waves for the next couple of months as the water heats up and they meander back north towards coolers waters. The waters heating up and so’s the bottom fishing. Grouper season opens May 1st and the Snapper fishin’s been good. The conditions look great for the next several days so give me a call and let’s catch fish. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World.   Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
