Hello Fish Fans, This is a great time for fishin off the Treasure Coast of Florida, there’s plenty of Dolphin around, the Sailfish have finally arrived in greater numbers, and the Kingfish are showin up in greater numbers every day. Huge packs of livebait up & down the beach but so are the spanish and cero makerel, yesterday we had a terrible time catchin livebait cause the macks were tearin everything up, there were macks and bait jumpin all around us but they were movin too fast for a net and the macks were cuttin off everything on the sabiki rigs. The first cold front of the year just pasted through and from here on out the Sailfishin, Kingfishin and Wahoo fishin will get better and better til it peaks in January, it will continue to be excellent right through the month of February. The Reel Busy specializes in Sailfishin and employs two different methods to insure success. The most common method off the Treasure Coast in Stuart Florida is trollin dead Ballyhoo along the color changes and current edges, the Reel Busy uses this method on 1/2 day charters and when live bait isn’t cooperative. When live bait fishin we’ll slow-troll the same edges and colorchanges with the added attraction of a Kite. The kite allows the bait to be suspended on the surface of the water kickin and splashin, I don’t know who gets more excited, the Sailfish as he approaches this strugglin bait or the angler when that big black shadow begins stalking it’s prey. Kite fishin is an experience you’ll never forget, it’s reely awesome. Now’s the time to reserve charter on the Reel Busy for January/February , when bookin your room at Pirates Cove Resort and Marina mention your fishin on the Reel Busy and get 20% off the cost of your room. I’ll be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World, Let’s Go Fishin !
