The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida was not as good as expected after all the wind we had last week but there was a few more Dophin around than there was before the weather. We were hoping for a couple of Sailfish on Friday but ended up with a 15 pound Dolphin, small Blackfin Tuna, a couple of Barracua and a handfull of Bonita. There’s no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to fishin’ but The Bahama Bank is as close as it gets so on Saturday the guys decided to give it a shot. The northwest corner of the Bahama Bank is refered to as the corner and the ledge drops from 150′ to 600′ within about 200 yards and down to 1500′ within 400 yards. The corner is 60 miles east/northeast of Stuart, Florida which only takes about 1 hr 45 minutes on the Reel Busy and the water is so blue it’s almost purple. The flying fish stack up between the currents which makes it a playground for Blue Marlin, White Marlin , Sailfish, Dolphin , Wahoo, Blackfin & Yellowfin Tuna , Bonita , Barracuda and Sharks. We never saw a billfish on Saturday but we caught Blackfin Tuna, Rainbow Runners, Bonita, Barracuda, Kingfish and a 31 lb Wahoo. The action was almost non-stop and as usual we spent more time catchin’ fish than we did fishin’. The sea conditions this week are picture perfect and the fishing off the corner is red hot so give me a call if you’re ready for a fishing trip you’ll never forget. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
