Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart is excellent this time of year but there will be days when we’re reminded why it’s called fishing and not catching. Last Saturday was one of those days and the one Sailfish that we caught was the smallest one I think I’ve caught in over 30 years of catching them. Most of the Sailfish that we catch are 5 to 7 feet long ranging from 35 to 65 pounds but this one was less than 3 feet long and couldn’t have weighed more than 10 pounds. We had two more that ate the bait but when they’re that small you gotta be lucky to catch’em. The Little Ones don’t travel alone so you know mom & pop were there watching the little ones feed. The Sailfish migration is in full swing and with the mild tempertures we’re having the Sailfish will be hanging around the waters off the coast of Stuart. Sailfish and Dolphin will be providing the action for the next few months and the fishing off the coast of Stuart is as good as it gets anywhere up or down the east coast of Florida. Give us a call and let’s go catch’em. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
