Hello Fish Fans, Another week of gusty winds and rough seas but it’s all settling down this week and it’s time to fish. The TCBA Fishing Tournament is one of the biggest tournaments in Florida with over 500,000.00 in cash and prizes was canceled again this week and post-poned to next weekend. Normally held on Memorial Weekend every year this years back to back cancelations was a first. The good news is by Wednesday this week the winds and seas will get back to normal, 5 to 10 mph winds a/2 to 3 foot seas. I don’t ever remember being stuck at the dock for 3 weeks in a row during the month of May but I guess there’s a first time for everything. I can’t wait to get out this week, the Dolphin fishing should be red hot all along the coast of Stuart. These 20 to 30 mph easterly winds will push packs of Dolphin just off the coast and you can bet they’ll be a feeding frenzie going on. The bait gets so scattered about with 8 to 10 foot seas and you can bet the Dolphin haven’t had an easy time keeping up with their appetite. The offshore fishing the next couple of weeks should be as good as it gets all along the east coast of Florida so give us a call or your favorite charter service and take advantage of some of the best offshore fishing of the year. We’ll be catchin Dolphin, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Wahoo and Kingfish. The Yellowfin Tuna fishing should be excellent for those who venture out to the corner, it’s about a 75 mile run from stuart but with calm seas and the speed of the Reel busy it’s easily done and usually well worth the trip this time of year.
