Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida last week was slower than slow, it sucked. There were a few Dolphin caught here and there but it was nothing like it should be this time of year. We never saw a Dolphin on Thursday so on Friday we decided to head to the east side of the gulfstream off the Bahama Bank. We traveled 45 miles offshore and fished everywhere in between. The only Dolphin we caught didn’t even make the 20″ minimum, so much for Prime Time Dolphin Fishing. The good news is the winds swang around to the east late Sunday afternoon and the fishing was better yesterday. The conditions were a bit sporty but we caught a 38.5 LB Bull Dolphin and a few lifters. I’m sure there was just as many Dolphin moving through last week but the west winds gave them lock jaw. There’s been a few Sailfish, Cobia and Kingfish around but this is Prime Time for Big Dolphin. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
