Hello Fish Fans, Sailfish season is here and that means tournament time. We’ll be fishin three sailfish tournaments in the next two weeks, The Quickie at Finest Kind Marina, The Pirates Cove Sailfish Classic and The Stuart Sailfish Club’s light Tackle Invitational. I’ll let you know how it goes in my next report. The sailfishin has been good, most boats gettin one or two with a couple of boats each day gettin three or four. The Dolphin and Kingfish have been providing plenty of action while waitin for the Sailfish to pop up. The winds been blowin hard now for over a week but it looks like it’s gonna settle down over the next few days. The seas have been on the sporty side,ok for some but too much for others. Today I was fishin with a father and son team, as usual dad was whooped by a twelve year old. When Sailfishin with kids you always hope for a nice little Sailfish, one that will go nuts and put on a show but not that powerfull,of course it never works out that way. Today Lee Howard caught a Sailfish estimated between 75 and 85 pounds on a 20 pound spinning rod. I don’t usually bring a sailfish into the boat but this time I had to, I had to get a picture of Lee and his monster Sailfish, I hope to add it to the website when I recieve it. Wanna catch Sailfish ? Now’s the time to pick a Dec/Jan date and visit Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World ! I”ll be back in about 2 weeks with another fishin report and I’ll let you know who got hot for the tournaments. Catch you Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
