Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart, Florida this past week slowed to a crawl and although there was some nice Dolphin caught they were few & far between. The west winds that arrived early last week busted up the weedlines so bad it was almost unfishable along the edge of the gulfstream. The Dolphin fishin usually slows a bit around a full moon but it doesn’t shut down like it did. We managed to put together a few Blackfin Tuna up to 14 pounds on Thursday but had no cooperation on Friday from the Tuna or the Dolphin. It was a beautiful day on the water and we covered alot of miles trying to make it happen but they didn’t want to play the game. I know that’s why they call it fishing and usually my determination and effort pays off but it wasn’t until Sunday that we started catchin Dolphin again. The winds came around to the east on Thursday but it wasn’t until Sunday that the weedlines started forming up again. We only caught 5 Dolphin and lost a couple more but one Bull Dolphin was almost 28 pounds. We have Wednesday, Thursday & Friay available this week so give me a call and we’ll hook you up with a nice catch of Dolphin & Tuna. The Sailfishing has been slow but they’re free-jumping everywhere from 50 feet to 500 feet deep. The Sailfish are here in numbers and I expect them to get fired up soon. The currents were screamin last week so bottom fishing and cobia fishing was tough but the current started settling down a bit yesterday so it should be a good week of fishing. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart, Florida Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you Later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609 cell
