Hello Fish Fans, This past week was typical full moon fishin and westerly winds for most of the week made it even tougher. The Dolphin fishin slowed to a crawl but we found a good concentration of Dolphin in 1200 to 1500 feet of water which is about 18 to 20 miles offshore, 6 to 8 miles further offshore than we had been finding them in previous weeks. We didn’t find allot of them but they were all gaffers in the 10 to 20 pound range. The Kingfishin was pretty good in about 80 feet of water, most of these fish were 8 to 15 pounds but you better be ready to do battle with 10 to 15 pound Bonita cause they’re all over the edge. We tried a little drift fishin for Mutton Snapper along the edge one day this past week and caught a couple but the Bonita were so thick it was hard not to hook’em up on the way down. The full moon is behind us for another month and you can expect much better fishin over the next couple of weeks, Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Tuna, Sailfish and Bonita will be providing plenty of action. The yellowfin Tuna are hit and miss on the Tuna trip but 15 to 25 pound Blackfin Tuna are abundant right now and you can count on them to pull your arms off. We’re only booked for a few days each week over the next couple of weeks so give us a call and you’ll catch fish. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters 305-304-9049 cell or 772-288-1332 home
