Hello Fish Fans, The Dolphin fishing has been slow but good and we saw our first pack of Dolphin yesterday. Dolphin first start showing up in the winter months mainly one at a time or in pairs. The larger packs start moving through this time of year and some of these packs hold dozens of fish. The Dolphin fishing will continue to get better over the next 30 days and they will continue to get bigger as well. At one point yesterday we had seven Dolphin hooked-up at the same time. Earlier that day we had a 15/20 pound dolphin that went crashing through the spread and got hooked-up on 4 of the 5 rods deployed before we got him under control. We did catch a Sailfish on one of our trips this week but it’s reel hit and miss right now. The Sailfishing will be reel good on some days but not reel consistant. The Cobia are showing up on the reefs and if the seas settle down as forcast this week we’ll start catchin’ Cobia under the Rays and Turtles. The next 30 days we’ll be targeting Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Cobia and you can expect Bonita and Kingfish to join the party. I’ll be back in about 10 days with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Give me a call and get hooked-up with a pack of Mahi-Mahi, you’ll love it when you catchem’ and they taste great too. Catch you later,Capt.
