Hello Fish Fans, I’ve got Wahoo fever and don’t expect it to go away anytime reel soon now that I know they’re waiting for me early in the morning. I told you last week I was hoping my clients were up to an early departure so we could check out the early morning Wahoo Bite, Tuesday it paid off big time with a 32.6 pound Wahoo. A Wahoo is shaped like a torpedo so a 32 pound Wahoo is about 5 feet long with a 25″ girth. The Wahoo is the fastest fish in the ocean and there’s no doubt about it when it explodes on the scene and the reel starts screaming, it’s awesome. The Wahoo is also one of the best eating fish in the ocean. I’m not a big sushi fan but I’ll be eating Wahoo while I’m fileting it everytime, there’s none better so bring your favorite sushi sauce and lets go Wahoo fishin. The Bonita and Kingfish are still bending the rods and providing plenty of action with a few Sailfish putting on a show. The Sailfishin not as hot as it was a couple of weeks ago but there’s still a few around and you’ll could catch 1 or 2 if you put your time in. The Dolphin fishin should start picking up again soon and if my clients this week are up to heading out to the deep blue waters of the gulfstream I think we’ll find them. I don’t expect to see too many Dolphin close to shore for another month or so but they will return to the inside edge of the gulfstream over the 4 to 6 weeks , in the meantime you’ll need to go deep if you want to catch Dolphin and don’t be surpized if you have an encounter with a Blue Marlin while your out there, they’re lookin for Dolphin too. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Give me a call and Let’s Go Fishin ! Catch you later, Capt.
